Mastodon platform has been WAY more welcoming to meeting new people via random following than BlueSky. #BlueSky has been great for Twitter people who already had a following or are already known (widely or to you). But it seems TERRIBLE for encouraging people to follow new accounts. Thus, interaction rates are basically nil. #socialmedia
