Scotland - Westminster elections only.
Rest of the UK - All elections.

You can apply for a free 'Voter Authority Certificate'. here---> https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

You will need a recent digital photo (basically a selfie with a plain background) and your National Insurance number.

I just applied and it took 2 minutes.
