Yup! My last two job offers started on LinkedIn. One was from finding a job listing (though I always try to apply off site, not through LI itself) and the other was a former coworker starting a business. He replied to my post about being open for work. It's also a list of people I've met through work that I'm not adding to other social media so I can keep up with their career changes and get/give referrals.
I've connected with recruiters but they haven't panned out for me.
