So as a Christian I want all people to have a chance to find Jesus, but this chance shouldn’t stand in the way of earthly justice. Exactly what this justice entails in a democracy/republic/parliamentary system are laws enacted by the legislature as voted in and approved by the public.

Of course this whole discussion dodges the burning hot hypocrisy of many who find themselves against the death penalty, yet somehow pro abortion.
