Did you know Apple auto-enabled AI to scan your photos? Meet Enhanced Visual Search 🔍 an AI photo feature automatically enabled for Apple devices with iOS 18.1 & macOS 15.1 or later.
First, disable it:
iOS: Settings > Apps > Photos > Enhanced Visual Search
MacOS: Photos > Settings > Enhanced Visual Search
In their defense, Apple released it with mitigations to protect user's privacy. But the precedent is still alarming.
