npub15fe8snwf0jsk93au6haj3zrtxx9awz3wcc8lxx6qmypv6tndww6sp3x47v (npub15fe…x47v) I use OSX a lot without a VM for work and for a while it was my only OS. I miss having guix sometimes but nix is good too. Everything works as it should, and the native Emacs and other unify stuff is great.
Resource consumption of MS might be an issue but I've never had a good experience running VMs on Mac (though it might be because I only have 8 gigs)
I do use WSL a lot but other than Emacs all my GUI applications (gimp, krita, VLC, Firefox, Libresprite) are native windows and run great, just the same as they would on Debian. Emacs on wsl is actually faster than Emacs on OSX in my experience.
My suggestion would be get a windows computer, debloat it as much as you can and install a nice terminal
