1/2 Patreon is more of an ongoing concern type of affair rather than a fundraiser for a specific project.
I think long run a patreon might be a good idea for you as you can provide patrons with a mixture of cover versions and originals in audio and videos, plus throw in tabs, lyrics, etc, make the occasional cover version a patreon exclusive. It could definitely help fund future projects.
To raise cash for the upcoming video though, Kickstarter or GoFundMe are the better option.
