Game companies should offer cobsole repair forever. I'm not saying warranty, I'm not saying for free, but if I want to spend $x to repair my 20 year old console to keep playing those games, they should. I'm not even suggesting they offer whole boards. Most consoles die from bad caps, or a chip has desoldiered. For a place that makes electronics, this is easy.
