I would argue that reels/shorts/... are for edutainment. To have something that can fit anytime, is a bit funny maybe, and keeps a topic fresh.
Because you are spot-on that nobody can explain anything useful in a hot minute. Maybe tease a bit, but there needs to be substance somewhere. (Anywhere but in short video.)
