Being non-accusatory in verbiage, making it abundantly clear that concepts are being attacked and not people, building a rapport and just generally making it clear *that you're on the same damned side*...
It's always easier to operate within a space when people know you're there to help them. Better still when they like you. These two rewards for mindfulness are often a feedback loop, too, which is nice.
Are the materials you're going through standardized and wide-spread in their use? Or does your company have you attending seminars that are more or less pep rallies set up to cool the consciousness of corporate customers for a few thousand clams? Getting their bag while giving nothing practical back?
