How much more difficult would it be for a government to block content on many federated social websites vs a centralized site?

ActivityPub creates a social layer for the web. Its censorship resistance is similar to any website, but the protocol is more analogous to email. Someone’s post is pushed to their followers, so content is replicated. The creator can delete their copy, but deletes take the form of a request for the original recipients to do so.
