Last year (yesterday) I played Mega Man X6. Since I never played anything past X5, I decided to finally see what I'm missing.
BOY, IT WAS THE BIGGEST PILE OF DOG SHIT I HAD EVER SEEN.
The level design is abysmal. The bosses are trivial, except for the secret bosses which are nightmare mode difficult. Zero is like a shit version of Zero. There's a grinding system. The "Zero Nightmare" gimmick is unbearable, and I'm sure other complaints I have forgotten already.
This was moist garbage, almost as bad as Mega Man Zero 3, which should be illegal. But as far as Mega Man X goes, this is not even worthy of being considered a game. Like the Disney Star Wars trilogy of the X series. It looks like Mega Man X; but it's only superficially similar.
It was so unplayable, I quit. In that sense, I suppose that makes it worse than MMZ3, but after that travesty, my tolerance for Mega Man shit is at its lowest. I did play the garbage PlayStation version of X3 afterwards to check if maybe I just hate Mega Man now; but no. Even with all its flaws, it was still a good game.
This year I shall play only good Mega Man games. On to Mega Man X7.
...what platform is it on?
