On the real, I don't find this result surprising at all, the american empire has always been a horror show, the degree of patriarchal reaction was obviously at a fever pitch, "fascism is capitalism in decline" and all that. There was, and will never be, an easy slide into, or out of, global ecological catastrophe, the idea that our lives and capacity for making a life would not be in the cross hairs is so completely at odds with everything this entire world order is based on. The earth is encircled, the globe is a camp.

I have a low opinion of any legible "politics" to ever escape this, and everything that does will happen running fully perpendicular to the course the world is on. to whatever degree your actually lived life does not make room for you to act on what you know, to make moves beyond the stagnant decay of what is allowed and given, you simply have to face the fear of staying and waiting for them to come, or taking a risk that might go no where with the possibility of making a path out that those who share something in common with you might find, in your wake.
