- don't "segregate" social topics which makes them look "not technical" (bane of my existence). Our work is super statistics and methods heavy, it's just DIFFERENT technical! Call our work "technical" out loud. If you design a conf or resource, consider having social topics and posts interwoven with software stuff. I am v sad when I get invited to write a whole thing, and then it goes up on the section of a website no one clicks into.
