Time zones plus daylight savings?! Sheesh. Who thought that was a good idea?
I'm just bitter because I've spent half an hour banging my head against #RStats trying to figure out why four seemingly innocent date-time values from a data logger give "Warning message: failed to parse" errors when converted to date-time format (using as.POSIXct and ymd_hms).
It turns out that 2 AM on 29 Sept. 2024 didn't exist in NZ because of daylight savings, and nobody told the data logger.
