Brendan O’Neill in The Daily Telegraph says the latest Taliban brutal edict, who already insist that women should not be seen, is that they should no longer be heard either. The latest diktat from this “cruellest, most misogynist of governments” says that when women pray, they must ensure that no passers-by, including other women, hear their whispered words. The Taliban already demands women refrain from “reading, singing and even speaking” when outdoors.
