I've talked to an enormous amount of, usually, cis white dudes (+ some queer folk) who got introduced to computers very early in life, got the ticket to "yes I can do that/fix that/figure that out" land early, who worked a corporate tech job or two, and now fucking *hate* computers and tech and are misanthropic artists or farmers or whatever

I also know a ton of women/BIPOC/queers who would kill to have the stability of a tech job and to not be infantalized and assumed helpless
