A! M! E! N! I can only say I pray my washer, dryer, stove and fridge have long lives. I do NOT WANT SMART appliances. I do not want to have to use an app to control something. I do not want to have to have an Internet connection to run an appliance. I also don't want to have to replace an appliance because an app no longer supports that appliance. Not everything has to be app related in this world, does it? I love my tech, for sure, but I'm not, nor do I want to become, totally dependent on it. I still use a slate and stylus and a Brailler, as well as hard copy Braille--yeah, actual paper. It still exists. So, when the power goes out, or when I have no Internet connection, I can still read and write.
