Last fall I split horse radish, comfrey, rhubarb, and hazelnut along with cup plant in the spring. Then, transplanted it amongst the fruit trees in the silvopasture where we graze our sheep.
So far, good success with only a few dead plants. The summer heat might cause some casualties as these plants will not be watered. Plus the potential of a rough sheep here or there. All in all, I'm feeling confident many will make it through.
Horseradish
Comfrey
Cup plant
Rhubarb
All this propagation was from plants in the food forest. In a few years all these plants can be split again further filling out niches in the rows of perennials in the silvopasture. Low time preference abundance.
