Just few people see the parallels. \nThe difference is that the church promised a heavenly afterlife for suffering and serfdom in the present, which is basically the same story when the dutch bought manhatten for a sack of glas pearls. The commies on the other hand just promised that the ones who have more in the present will get assraped and nothing else.\nSo at least the christians had an intrinsic motivation, while the commies solely acted out of extrinsic motivated hatred for those who had it better.",
