I’m all for more open standards, but Amazon could have provided this service to its customers for _years_ by just supporting the Google Cast protocol on its devices that works very well and is widely supported by apps.

Now devices and apps have to build support for this new thing, which means there’s a high likelihood one of the apps you want to use won’t:
