Well, my dinner came out better than expected. Instead of broiling or pan-searing the expensive huge scallops I bought to treat myself -- something that tends to end up either overcooking or undercooking them -- I found a recipe online for baked scallops and tried that. They came out cooked just right.

The recipe called for a little bit of nutmeg along with the salt/pepper/garlic, something I wouldn't have thought to put on scallops. It added a very nice touch.

And I bought enough scallops to do it again tomorrow.
