“fair” source instead of open source? Because open source doesn’t work out as a business model? You have got to be kidding me.
Despite many years of “fair use” licensing agreements, culturally and structurally “fair”’s meaning is typically in the eye of the beholder. I wrote a whole book about a team whose culture was premised on “fair” and had a hundred different ways to achieve it.
Open is open. Closed is closed. “Fair” is unfair. Cowards.
