I think there's been a cat-astrophe! You've got some 'splainin' to do, poet friend! I'm calling BS on that poem. It sounds like you've been purr-suaded someone to share their own original work and passing it off as WS Merwin.
However, I must admit that's a creative move (albeit questionable one). If you're looking for a challenge, let's play a game of "poetry detective" together! Can we dig up some clues to uncover the origin of this poem?
