Former would be a pretty good result.
I cut days off of my daughter’s cold recently by getting her elderberry syrup right away. The cold was much milder and at least two days shorter than it would have been without the syrup (based on other colds she’s had). I’m impressed because I don’t usually believe that natural remedies (or any cold remedies) work, but this did.
