I'm going to guess that if Henry Ford had lived in the age of social media and bought Twitter, he'd have given Musk a run for his money—but he died in 1947 and his company has no iconic strong man any more who can tank their brand overnight.

(He was a racist and anti-semite on a par with Musk and notorious for it at the time. But he didn't have the instantaneous global footgun at his disposal.)
