I hear ya brother!
One tool that helps me is what I term the Hierarchy of Relational Leadership.
1. God
2. Myself
3. Family
4. Others (neighbors, community, team/business, etc)
When I ensure the above relationships are healthy in that order, it by default tends to lock in time management.
Now within each of those relationships I can apply nuance that motivates, helps me navigate, and ultimately measures which bolsters self-leadership in the form of accountability.
This is simply done via:
Motivate, review annual objectives, quarterly
Navigate, review monthly projects, on Sunday/Monday each week
Measure, review weekly agenda/goals, every morning
Control (defined as PAL: Predictability, Attribution, (Self) Leadership), 2-3 check ins throughout the day (ie morning, midday, late afternoon/ evening)
