The heat started REEKING in my house. Like burning, melting, plastic, grossness. We shut off the heat. I cleaned visible ducts. The filter looks spotless. I have an appointment with the AC folks tomorrow.

Do I need a duct cleaning? Something else? Should I just light money on fire?

I welcome serious advice!

(We’re fortunate that this issue is limited to the first floor and we have heat in the basement and second floor that doesn’t smell, from separate furnaces.)
