So I was often exposed to movies playing at home, that were not suitable for my age at the time. The Abyss is probably not very high on the scary movie scale, but I remember watching part of it with my sister, when I was like 7, and it scarred me for life. I stopped watching anything scary after that, and still don’t enjoy scary things to this day.
