I was woken (as it turned out) by a strange inexplicable noise last night.

At first it got into my dream as a man I was dreaming about had a long metal fence, and he started banging it, over and over...

Then I suddenly woke up, knowing the noise in real life was the reason - but it had stopped.. so I was left wondering what on earth had happened.

I still don't know but it kept me awake for a while, thinking about it.
