F-droid has been trusted by the community since forever along with Izzy. Obtainium gets directly from the source, therefore they're signed by the dev. None of the 3 is secure unless you trust the dev. Hence why I prefer using f-droid, since it not only has the public's eyes on the github repo, but it also needs to be checked by the f-droid team.
But hey, people do whatever they want.
