Solar power is changing the world, says Christian Stöcker in Der Spiegel. Look at Pakistan! The state electricity supply (primarily old coal-fired plants) is useless: with frequent power cuts and prices risen by 155% in the past 3 years. So millions of people are buying cheap solar panels from China. It’s been a huge success: solar is by far the cheapest form of power, cutting bills by up to 80%, and the amount of electricity generated that way has risen from 0.6 to 17 gigawatts in just 2 years.
