I understand your point and mostly agree with the ideals of open trade and sharing the wealth of information we have to the betterment of society.

however what I feel like we are seeing is the US forcing the hand of economically weaker nations to bring about a renegotiation of the current deals in place.

this is not to say I agree with the actions, I am fairly neutral on this, but I believe the US can probably sustain the downside effects of tariffs longer than most other nations.
