That indeed yes, but what I had in mind was more that the whole logistics aspect of supplying not one city, not one nation, not one continent, but the ENTIRE WORLD with a desired good that is grown principally in a handful of tropical locations, as well as the preparatation of it both before end consumer and at the end consumers (inventing modern coffee making devices that required electrification etc etc) was a huge undertaking and a huge modernizing factor in society.
