I agree. I think the approach needs to be:
Let us iterate on systems that are more free, let us find better (and worse as we experiment) ways, and let us not destroy the best ways that are currently on hand in the process. We can definitely point out the “violence inherent in the system” as a way to wake people up to the fact that they are far from the theoretical optimum, while of course keeping the best-known practical optimum around.
