But those with vested interests have created doubt and confusion using the same disinformation tactics that tobacco and fossil fuel companies have successfully implemented in the past to protect their profits at the cost of public health. Governments and public health departments need to stop caving into bullies and instead, consistently and unapologetically educate the public on the importance of wearing high quality masks.
