I need to decide in the next 24 hours if I’m going to explore part of the Skyline Ridge trail in Olympic National Park this weekend or not. I would need to buy an expensive (comparatively) permit, have someone print it, and buy a bear can. The REI down the street doesn’t have the small BV425 I would want so I would need to get a 450.
Other options are picking another pass trailhead in Washington State or Timberline to Fish Lake and hike a new to me PCT section.
I’m leaning towards the latter.
