State of The Instance - June 2024

Sorry for being late with the June update, things have been pretty busy around Beige Party Headquarters, and my spreadsheets were in total disarray. I had planned to continue the policy review this month, but I just haven't had the time to think AND write (in this economy?), so this will just be a short update with the numbers for May. I will try to get out a separate post for the policy review, or maybe push it off to next month's SOTI.

On to the numbers!

New sign-ups:

In the month of May we gained 23 new party-goers, for a grand total of 446 beneficent beige burghers. Of those, 256 accounts have been active in the last month.

Finances:

For the month of May we received $240.00 in donations. After PayPal fees, that comes out to $208.47. We had $1,751.13 left over from April, so our total available funds for paying the May hosting fees was $1,991.13.

The hosting fees for May break down as follows:

VPS Hosting: $127.54
Foreign Transaction Fee: $3.44
S3 Storage: $10.18
SMTP Relay: $15.00

Total: $156.16

After paying the hosting bills for May, we have $1,803.44 left in donation funds. That's enough to keep us running for almost a year, so we are in good shape. Thank you to all who donated! If anyone would like to donate, here is the link:
