This rather insipid looking plant is an interesting but uncommon parasitic non-chlorophyll plant found in dark woodland (in this case, beneath beech trees). Hipopitys Monotropa. Also known as Pinesap, Yellow Bird’s Nest or Dutchman’s Pipe. Mainly found in Southern England.
