is bitcoin giving me universal L1 privacy and adjustable blocksize upon which to build second layers? no, it isn't. it's giving me a transparent and easily congested L1 maintained by a community who is allergic to opcodes, and the best it can muster for offchain scaling is payment channel garbage that doesn't work right even with custodial capture, and a couple of permissioned sidechains. you cannot go around and act entitled to the market cap of other cryptocurrencies before you have mature features that make them redundant. you didn't earn that yet.
