Getting the hard sell to teach an online course I have no intention of agreeing to for next fall. Nope.
4 months teaching, no benefits, I’d need to develop all course resources, learn new tech to deliver in a modality that would then be property of the Uni? Nope.
The trend towards turning education into a business dependent on low pay gig workers (yes, precarious adjuncts are gig workers), is exploitive. I’m fortunate enough not to need to say yes. Can’t find anyone to do it? I wonder why?
