My partner works third shift and has to be up all night. Sometimes, I just join them in bed while they sleep and sit here awake, joyously being a big snuggle pillow, and feel like everything is good in the world. Today is one of those days.

Their head is resting gently against my back, one arm draped over my side, and I can feel each steady breath. I'll just scroll social media and listen to all my podcasts. Why would I ever want to move?
