They did NOT like being disconnected and some spent most of the ride over trying to disable the cotton blocking the tube. Disconnecting it allowed me to see their progress on their ongoing multi months project of chewing through the “ant proof” plastic tube. No plastic is ant proof. (ok maybe nylons— I should get nylon and not be so cheap)
I love these little evidences of the will of the colony. They have GOALS.
