Trump promises rosy times when he comes to power, but I think he (and his country) will first have to deal with a severe crisis. And he wouldn't even be responsible for it. A government always suffers the consequences of the previous government's mismanagement. It takes 3-4 terms to make a real impact.
But that doesn't really matter to the real rulers, the permanent ones in the background, not the replaceable ones in the foreground. They couldn't care less if the people, who are just there to be exploited, end up in the gutter. As long as the most important long-term plans, like ongoing financial and military support for certain allied states, are secured.
