Biden has always been a gaffe machine. What people are suddenly pretending to just be noticing has been commented on by many honest people ad nauseum for basically his entire career.
If Biden chooses to step aside and Harris steps into the her rightful spot, it would be a good thing for everyone, but that was true a year ago also.
