My Hostal owner takes payment in Bitcoin.
So i paid in Bitcoin.
But now she needs some cash to pay the worker, so we are doing an exchange, cash for Bitcoin again.
Then I had the idea, why can't she sell me "Puntitos" like hotel points? Each night she sells me in advance is 50% discounted. I can use them in a year for myself or friends and she can keep her Bitcoin. Or sell kitchen access for points?
Then the doubts creep in: "sounds so fiat, financializing the promise of a service."
However, let's say her hotel points app (powered by Nostr ofc) locked the bitcoin in a lightning channel between her POS and my Nostr profile -->When I stay in the future through my Nostr Loyalty App, it releases her Bitcoin back to her full control.
So she's incentivized to offer me some product that I agree is worth my Loyalty points.
After 12 months the points expire and the Bitcoin releases fully to her POS.
Seems like a win win... The Bitcoin stays between us. She's encouraged to offer good service (not grudgingly provide free nights on credit).
It also helps her develop her business offerings to things that people really want ( coffee harvest workshop, kitchen access, extra towel)
