Microsoft is backtracking on Recall, making it opt-in and improving security. While that's good news, taking a "whatever we can get away with” approach to security and privacy is not a great way to build or maintain trust with people. This will end up being a big hit for MS to take for a feature that no one is asking for.
Let's hope that Apple doesn't announce any similar nonsense at WWDC next week!
