DNA shows at this point (the Empire) that Roman population swings dramatically towards the Middle Eastern DNA
The original Roman population has now experienced a "Great Replacement" similar to what the West is going through
Sources, like Tertullian, tell us that Christianity was an "urban movement" - he boasts how the power bases of Christians are the cities
Pagan is actually a slander word for "country bumpkin"
Pagan is a term used by the urbanites to address the Roman "rednecks" or "flyover states"
The Empire converted when only 12-14% of the population was Christian - but due to their influence in the cities they had a lot of institutional power
"
arian christianity(it mapped br
etter on to thor odin and similar bibary systems) was popular on peripheral pagans as well but based on the julian reform and the similar russian one, these sorts of pagans only had 2 or 3 gods, which isnt there natural state, pagans actually with rome in the ruralpersisted a very long time, as did the lithuanins and mari and such. christianity was only taking among urbans and essentially bandits, its fair to say this environment was relatively religiously barren and very degenerate.
christianity at least theologically was relatively simple similar to islam, later it became more complicated and incorporated rituals and festivals and such, and pagans not being very doctrinal grafting their rituals onto other things and reterming the legitimacy of their kings was enough to gradually win them over, this doesnt imply that paganism was untrue or incomplete or tgat christianity was true just that in the state it was presentedvnot being able to read or just not reading the bible and being told fragments sometimes edited and wile making these accommodations to the pagan superstitions they merely found it tolerable
also the dynamic within europe shouldnt be expected to have anything to do with christianity becoming in the ethnicities within and about the jews
