It didn't like this article. It stinks of the academy, and it is postmodern in its assertion of "truths" without logic or evidence. Just big word nonsense that you would expect, coming out of academia. Very judgmental and critical and calculating to appeal to fears and prejudices. The deprecating appraisal of Sojourner Truth betrayed an impulse toward discontinuity that is very postmodern (and also Euro-colonialist). Despite the use of the word "bourgeois" twice, I got the idea that the author was selling something, as opposed to sharing knowledge. I give her a postmodern "A" for academy pandering.
