(Disclaimer: I'm not Filipino) My native language also falls into that category. Most people who speak it are also fluent in the regional lingua franca, so they don't need translation specifically into our native tongue. I imagine a lot of Cebuano speakers also know Tagalog so they can speak to people from other parts of PH.
